Other News and Updates

The bay window of Nerissa and Claire’s Café has at last been repaired by a specialist heritage restoration
company. You may have noticed them working hard as you walked down the High Street. It was a difficult task
and they have done a fantastic job. It looks great and no more leaks when it rains!
The Challenge Ongar event was a great success and a considerable amount of money was raised for the Senior
Wellness Hub to help with the purchase of more equipment for the Tuesday Senior Fitness sessions.
ODCA are pleased to support Amanda McGregor (Heart of Holistic Health) and Michelle Russell (Maximise
Fitness) in all they do for our senior residents. Thanks to all involved
The new fire alarm is now fitted, and in preparation for the ballroom refurbishment, rewiring and electrical work
continues. A reminder that the ballroom refurbishment is scheduled for January and February next year, and the
ballroom will be closed during this time. Other rooms will remain available for use. As you will know the ODCA is
run by volunteers and we would greatly appreciate any extra help. If you don’t want to commit to being a
committee member, you can become a ‘Friend of Budworth Hall’, maybe help with serving teas and coffee
at our Senior events. If you have any skill you think might be useful to us, or would like to help in any way, please
get in touch. Visit our website at www.budworthhall.co.uk to explore our photo gallery, learn more about the
building’s history, check regular clubs, events, news, and find out about hire rates. Stay updated through our social
media pages and notice board.
