Ongar and District Community Association Events
Our last Comedy Club Night on June 27th was another sell out and a very hot and muggy evening of fun and laughter was enjoyed by all. The next Comedy Club Night will be on September 5th, not the 12th. Apologies that the wrong date was in last month’s article.
The band, Roulette, will be performing on Friday 8th August.

Other News and Updates
We are happy to be supporting 3Food4U by providing the ballroom for their community surplus hub on Thursday mornings from the end of July.
The outer bar has been redecorated to match ballroom colours, and there are plans to redecorate behind the bar and the entrance lobby as soon as funds allow.
A quick reminder — the Ongar and District Community Association (ODCA) is run entirely by volunteers, and we’d love for you to get involved! Whether you have a little time to serve tea at our senior events, help at community activities, or share your skills in other ways, every bit of support matters. Simply becoming a Friend of Budworth Hall or letting us know how you’d like to help is a great way to support your local community hall. Remember, Budworth Hall was given to the people of Ongar and became a charity in 1963. It is designated as a hall for the use of “inhabitants of Chipping Ongar and district” hence the ODCA – Ongar and District Community Association.

The Ballroom, Concert Hall, Committee Room, and Bar Area are available for hire 7 days a week at competitive rates. To make an enquiry, please contact us via email at budworthhall-ongar@outlook.com with your name, telephone number, and details of your enquiry. If you do not have access to email, you can call us on 07918 462959, and leave a message. A member of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.

The onsite Coffee Bar and Restaurant is run by Nerissa and Claire and is open Tuesday to Saturday.
