We have exciting plans in hand to make the building more user friendly for people with mobility issues. Our Architect, Jackie Pepper, is completing plans which include new entrance doors, suitable toilets, improving access around the building, including the installation of a lift to the first floor. This will be an extremely costly operation. To ensure we can move forward quickly we will need to obtain grants, donations and fund raise.

We urgently need to find Volunteer’s who have the knowledge and ability to make applications for Grants, organise fund raising activities and to seek donations. Please make contact with us if you or you know of someone with these skills.

It is a constant challenge to make sure that our finances remain in a sound state. Currently, we are managing to do so.

Budworth Hall is in regular use by the residents of Ongar and the surrounding Villages. The pages headed “Users of the Budworth Hall” which follow shows the wide variety of activities and events that currently take place in the Ballroom, with adjacent Bar and modern Kitchen, the Concert Hall and the Meeting Room. All are attractive in character and available for Hire.

If you are considering starting up or expanding a project or activity on a regular basis we will do our best to meet your requirements. We will be delighted to help and encourage you.
